The AOBA Alliance uses its resources and expertise to streamline the procurement process for those who do not have the in-house expertise and/or resources to stay current with energy markets and evaluate competitive energy service offerings. We actively coordinate this process on behalf of our participants without eroding energy cost-savings. AOBA Alliance is a licensed broker of energy services in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia and our mission is to facilitate low-cost energy procurement to the commercial building industry in the Washington DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia Metropolitan areas. AOBA Alliance serves all non-residential rate payers of energy.

As a participant in the AOBA Alliance, you will have access to a broad array of energy expertise. This includes utility market update meetings, energy market monitoring with buying advice, and energy market education. You’ll also benefit from our expertise and information on keeping utility costs down.

AOBA Alliance participants also have the unique advantage of using energy supply contracts negotiated by and for the commercial building industry. Through our relationship with our preferred provider, Constellation, we offer extremely competitive pricing and contract terms, as well as excellent customer support.

The AOBA Alliance negotiates a supply agreement with a competitive supplier and standardizes the contract, terms and conditions for participants. We also offer informative seminars and background materials on electric supply options and the energy procurement process and options. AOBA Alliance participants are walked step-by-step through the electricity procurement process, including energy contract terms and conditions, by the AOBA Alliance’s experienced attorneys and energy consultants.

As the largest customer-based energy aggregation group in the DC area, the AOBA Alliance has saved its participants more than $500 million in energy costs over the past 15 years. Currently, more than 10,000 accounts, representing a total load of more than 650 MW of electricity and 2 BCF of natural gas, are under contract through the AOBA Alliance.
